Mangaluru: Bearys Institute of Technology (BIT), Mangaluru, organised a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “ Building an Electric Vehicle Centre of Excellence: An Interdisciplinary Approach for Mechanical and ECE Engineering ” on Tuesday.
The programme was organised by the Department of Mechanical Engineering in association with IQAC and the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC). The online programme focused on the emerging trends, technologies and interdisciplinary approaches involved in developing electric vehicle infrastructure and academic centres of excellence.
Dr. A. Selvaraj, Professor, Department of EEE, Rajalakshmi Engineering College, Chennai, was the resource person. The session commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Imran Mokashi, HOD, Department of Mechanical Engineering, followed by an address by Dr. C. Kamalakannan, Principal, BIT. The resource person was introduced by Prof. Prithviraj M., Programme Coordinator.
Ceremony (MC) and delivered the Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to the management, resource person, faculty members and participants for making the programme a success.
The FDP provided faculty members with valuable insights into electric vehicle technologies and encouraged collaboration between Mechanical and Electronics and Communication Engineering disciplines. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and an online group photograph.
The event was presided over by the institute leadership and witnessed the participation of faculty members and academic stakeholders.
