Mangaluru: The BIT & BEADS Orientation Programme–2026 was organized on 10th August 2026 at the Bearys Knowledge Campus (BKC), welcoming the newly admitted students and marking the beginning of their academic journey.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. S. I. Manjur Basha, Director, Bearys Knowledge Campus.
Delivering the Presidential Address, Mr. Syed Mohamed Beary, Chairman, Bearys Group of Institutions, motivated the students with an inspiring message on the meaning of success. He compared a coin to two faces, stating that one side represents success while the other represents sacrifice. He emphasized that true success requires dedication, hard work, discipline and the willingness to make sacrifices. He encouraged students to develop a positive attitude and remain committed to their goals throughout their academic and professional journey.
The programme also included the felicitation of meritorious students, recognizing and appreciating their academic achievements. The meritorious students were felicitated by Mr. Syed Mohamed Beary, Chairman, Bearys Group of Institutions, who congratulated them and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Suprabha K. R., Associate Professor, Department of MBA, National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal, addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of holistic development among students. She emphasized that education should go beyond academic knowledge and should contribute to the development of communication skills, leadership qualities, confidence, creativity, ethical values and social responsibility. She encouraged the students to aspire to become leaders rather than merely seek employment, urging them to develop the skills and mindset required to create opportunities and make meaningful contributions to society.
The orientation programme provided an opportunity for the newly joined students to understand the values, vision and expectations of the institution while motivating them to make the best use of the academic and extracurricular opportunities available to them.
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. C. Kamalakannan, Principal, Bearys Institute of Technology (BIT) The BIT & BEADS Orientation Programme–2026 thus served as an inspiring beginning for the students, emphasizing academic excellence, holistic development, leadership, dedication and responsible citizenship.
