Bearys Institute of Technology (BIT), Mangalore, was honoured with the Platinum Sustainable Campus Partner recognition at the Bharat Environment Program (BEP) – Sustainable Campus Impact Summit & Awards 2026, held on 1 June 2026 at the Shanti Sarovar Global Peace Auditorium, Hyderabad.
The event was organized by the Research Heights Foundation (RHF) as part of the Bharat Sustainability Campus Mission 2026, a national initiative aimed at promoting sustainability, environmental stewardship, and SDG-aligned campus activities among higher education institutions across India.
BIT was recognized for its dedicated efforts in fostering sustainability awareness, environmental responsibility, and meaningful student and faculty engagement through various green initiatives undertaken during Earth Week 2026. As a mark of its achievement, the institution was awarded the Platinum Sustainable Campus Partner Certificate during the summit.
The summit brought together educational leaders, policymakers, industry experts, and sustainability advocates from across the country to share best practices and celebrate impactful environmental initiatives undertaken by institutions.
This recognition reinforces BIT’s commitment to creating a sustainable campus ecosystem and contributing towards national and global sustainability goals through education, awareness, and community engagement.
