The R&D Cell and IQAC, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), Bearys Institute of Technology (BIT), Mangalore, organized a seminar on “Entrepreneurship, Startups and Funding” on 25 August 2025 at the International Seminar Hall. The event aimed to create awareness about entrepreneurship, motivate students to transform innovative ideas into viable ventures, and connect them with regional startup support ecosystems.
The seminar featured expert sessions by Mr. Vinyas Shetty, Civil Engineering Consultant, and Mr. Karthik S. Rai, Program Manager at Bolpu. The speakers shared insights on entrepreneurship, project management, startup ecosystems, funding opportunities, and mentorship support available to aspiring entrepreneurs. Students actively participated in interactive discussions on startup funding, incubation, and market access.
A key highlight of the program was the introduction to the Bolpu initiative, which offers mentorship, funding guidance, and entrepreneurial support for emerging startups. The seminar enhanced students’ understanding of entrepreneurship as a career path, strengthened their exposure to real-world startup challenges, and reinforced BIT’s commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship through its R&D Cell, IQAC, and IIC activities.
