The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Bearys Institute of Technology (BIT), in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and in collaboration with the Food Chain Campaign, organised a workshop on “Raising Capital and Finance Management for Start-ups” under the theme “Nature, Youth & Economy” at the International Seminar Hall on Wednesday, April 22.
The programme began with a welcome address by Dr. Imran Mokashi, Head of the Department, who highlighted the importance of financial awareness, innovation, and fostering an entrepreneurial mindset among students.
The resource person, Mr. Yatish Thukaram, was introduced by programme coordinator Prithviraj M.
During the technical session, the speaker elaborated on key aspects of start-up finance, including raising capital, sources of funding, financial planning, and challenges faced by emerging ventures. The session offered practical insights and real-world perspectives for aspiring entrepreneurs.
