Bearys Institute of Technology organized a Student interactive session on “Social Responders for a Better Tomorrow!” in collaboration with the ISTE Chapter, on 13th July 2023 at International Seminar Hall. The event aimed to highlight the invaluable efforts of individuals and organizations dedicated to creating a positive impact in society. Prominent speakers, Ms. Misbah Shahid and Mr. Mohammed Ali Shariff, addressed the audience, shedding light on various aspects of social responsiveness. Ali is a Director at Rehbar, a firm that has innovated ethically compliant structures to provide equipment and funds for the growth of SMEs. And Misbah has a rich experience of over 15 years in the field of education and development, contributing significantly towards teacher training.

The event commenced with an enlightening talk by Ms. Misbah Shahid, focusing on self-awareness as a fundamental aspect of becoming a social responder. She emphasized the significance of understanding oneself, including one’s strengths, weaknesses, and values, in order to effectively contribute to the betterment of society. Ms. Shahid’s speech resonated with the attendees, inspiring them to reflect on their own self-awareness journey.

Following Ms. Shahid’s speech, the audience had the privilege of listening to Mohammed Ali Shariff, who spoke passionately about the initiative to serve all levels of society. Mr. Shariff’s address emphasized the importance of inclusivity and reaching out to marginalized communities. He stressed the need for social responders to extend their support beyond superficial boundaries and make a genuine difference in the lives of those in need by fostering a culture of empathy, understanding, and collaboration, we can genuinely strive towards a better tomorrow.

The event was witnessed by Faculty and students of various institutes and began with the invoking of the almighty followed by a welcome address by Dr. SI Manjur Basha, principal of BIT, Vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Aziz Mustafa, Principal of BIES. The master of ceremony was Prof. Joyson of Basic Science.
