Beary’s Institute of Technology, through its NSS unit, organized a grand event to commemorate International Yoga Day on Wednesday, 21st June 2023. The primary objective of this celebration was to raise awareness about the numerous benefits of yoga and encourage its regular practice among the participants. The event commenced with prayer, invoking positive energy and fostering a tranquil environment for the Yoga Day festivities.

Dr. S.I. Manjur Basha, Principal, B.I.T., delivered an enlightening introduction to yoga. He shed light on its origins, philosophy, and its immense significance in attaining physical and mental well-being. Emphasizing the importance of integrating yoga into daily life, the principal motivated everyone to embrace its practice wholeheartedly. Subsequently, Dr. Imran Mokashi guided all participants in taking a pledge to make yoga an integral part of their lives. The pledge emphasized their commitment to regular practice, promoting its benefits, and raising awareness about its importance among others.

Mr. Ansar, the Physical Director of B.I.T, then conducted a session on various yoga asanas. Participants actively engaged in practising different postures, with Mr. Ansar providing guidance to ensure correct alignment and breathing techniques. This interactive session allowed attendees to experience the physical and mental benefits of yoga first-hand.

Concluding the event, Prof. Mohamed Kafeel Delvi, the NSS Program Officer of B.I.T, expressed his gratitude through a Vote of Thanks. He extended appreciation to all participants, the principal, heads of departments, and the instructor for their active involvement and contributions to the Yoga Day celebration. Prof. Delvi also acknowledged the organizing committee and volunteers for their dedicated efforts in ensuring the event’s success. The Yoga Day celebration culminated with the entire gathering standing together, united in singing the national anthem, reflecting a sense of unity and patriotism.
