Mangaluru: The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with patriotic fervour and enthusiasm at Bearys Knowledge Campus (BKC), Mangaluru. Ln. Sr. Adv. K. C. Narayanan, Ex-Serviceman and Founder President of the Ex-Servicemen Association, Kotekar, Mangaluru, was the Chief Guest of the programme.
The celebrations commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag, followed by the National Anthem. The gathering was warmly welcomed by Dr. Manjur Basha, Director, BKC, who highlighted the importance of remembering the sacrifices of the freedom fighters and upholding the values of the nation.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Ln. Sr. Adv. K. C. Narayanan delivered an inspiring message on the significance of Independence Day. Drawing from his experience as an ex-serviceman, he emphasised patriotism, discipline, unity, and the responsibilities of citizens towards the nation. He encouraged students to contribute positively to society and work towards building a strong and progressive India.
As part of the celebrations, prizes were distributed to the winners of various competitions conducted for students in connection with the 80th Independence Day celebrations. The prize distribution recognised the enthusiasm, creativity and participation of the students in the patriotic programmes.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Abdul Lathif, Principal, Bearys Integrated Pre-University College (BIPUC). The celebrations came to an end with refreshments for the gathering. The programme reflected the spirit of patriotism and provided an opportunity for students and staff to reaffirm their commitment to the nation.
