The Department of Basic Sciences at BIT was established in 2009. Since its inception, the department has been imparting quality education to the students of the various core branches of engineering in physical, mathematical, and chemical sciences. The Department coordinates all first year B.E programs, with a well-qualified staff of 10 members to boot. The departmental library has a wide collection of reference books, textbooks, monographs, conference proceedings, and a compilation of scientific articles. The department houses state-of-the-art laboratory facilities to conduct undergraduate level experiments in Engineering Physics, Chemistry and Applied Science.
