Mangaluru: Bearys Institute of Technology (BIT) on Tuesday afternoon celebrated Science Day with great enthusiasm and fervor. The event was held at International Seminar hall at the college campus and was attended by students, faculty of the college.
Dr. Ganesh Sanjeev, Professor of Physics at Mangalore University attended the event as the chief guest and delivered an address on the topic “Particulate Radiation and its Application”. He gave a detailed account of the discovery of Radiation waves, and their significance in the field of healthcare.
He also discussed the challenges faced in the detection of Radiation and the potential for future research in this field. The event provided a platform for the students to learn about the latest developments in science and technology and interact with experts in the field.
The prizes were distributed for the winners of various competitions held. Dr. S.I Manjur Basha, Principal of BIT-Mangalore, gave presidential remarks. Dr. Anjum Khan, HOD Basic Science welcomed the gathering. The event was coordinated by Dr. Vinutha PR, Physics Department. Dr. Aziz Mustafa, Principal of BIES spoke on Importance of Science and technology. While Prof. Joyson, Asst Professor, delivered the vote of thanks. The program concluded with the National Anthem.
