Report on National Science Day Celebration
The Department of Basic Science at Bearys Institute of Technology organized a program to commemorate National Science Day on 13th March 2026. The event was conducted in association with the Co-Curricular Committee and the Institution’s Innovation Council, aiming to promote scientific awareness and innovation among students. The program was held at the International Seminar Hall at 10:00 A.M., with enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members.
The celebration focused on highlighting the importance of science in everyday life and encouraging young minds to engage in research and innovation. The Chief Guest, Dr. Chandra Shekara Shetty T, Associate Dean and Director RDC, St Aloysius, Mangaluru, graced the occasion. In his address, he emphasized the significance of scientific thinking, innovation, and research in shaping the future. The event was presided over by dignitaries including Dr. S I Manjur Basha (Director), Dr.Kamalakannan C (Principal), Dr. Anjum Khan (HOD), and Dr. Vinutha P R (Co-Ordinator).
The program included insightful talks and discussions that inspired students to develop curiosity and scientific temperament. Overall, the National Science Day celebration was a grand success.
