The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) and Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Bearys Institute of Technology successfully organized a two-day NBA mock visit on March 11 and 12, 2026, as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen academic quality and institutional excellence.
The mock visit was conducted by distinguished academicians, Dr. Prasanna Kumar C, Professor and Head of ECE at YIT, Moodabidri, and Dr. Sunitha Guruprasad,
Professor of CSE at St. Joseph Engineering College. Their presence brought valuable insights into the accreditation process and evaluation standards set by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).
During the visit, the experts interacted with faculty members, students, and administrative staff, carefully reviewing departmental facilities, academic processes, course outcomes, and documentation practices. They also assessed laboratories, teaching methodologies, and student performance metrics to ensure alignment with NBA guidelines.
The evaluators provided constructive feedback and practical suggestions aimed at improving curriculum delivery, outcome-based education practices, and overall departmental functioning. Their recommendations are expected to play a crucial role in enhancing the institute’s preparedness for the official NBA accreditation process.
