The Department of Computer Science and Engineering celebrated National Science Day on 28th February 2023 to commemorate the discovery of the Raman Effect by the great Indian physicist Sir C.V. Raman. The event aimed to highlight the importance of science and technology in modern life and to encourage students to cultivate scientific temper and innovation.
The celebration began with an inaugural address by the Head of the Department, who emphasized the role of computer science in driving scientific advancement and solving real-world challenges. Students presented projects, models, and posters showcasing innovations in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Robotics.
Guest speakers from academia and industry inspired students by sharing insights into how research and technology can contribute to national growth. Interactive quizzes and discussions further enhanced the students’ enthusiasm toward scientific exploration.
The event concluded with the distribution of certificates to participants and winners, followed by a vote of thanks. The celebration successfully motivated students to think critically, innovate, and contribute to the progress of science and society.
