Mangalore: Bearys Knowledge Campus in Mangalore marked the beginning of the National Energy Conservation Week 2023 with a prayer and warm welcome extended by Dr. Abdullah Gubbi, the event’s coordinator.
The annual event, organized by the Department of ECE-BIT Mangalore in association with Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited, aims to promote awareness about energy conservation and encourage eco-friendly practices.
During the inauguration, Dr. S.I. Majur Basha, Principal of BIT, delivered impactful remarks emphasizing the importance of collective action in addressing energy conservation and highlighting the significant role that students and faculty members play in driving change. The audience was captivated by his insightful speech.
To symbolize unity and commitment towards energy conservation, an enthusiastic group of students and faculty members from various departments participated in a spirited march. They proudly carried banners and posters advocating for energy conservation, visually representing the collective effort required to create a sustainable future.
The week-long event will feature workshops and activities covering a wide range of topics related to renewable energy and energy-efficient technologies.
Attendees will have the opportunity to showcase innovative solutions for a greener tomorrow.
Following the inauguration, an invited talk on energy conservation was delivered by Dr. UC Niranjan, Director of Research & Training at Manipal Dot Net, Manipal. Dr. Niranjan, a renowned expert in the field of Embedded Systems, shared his knowledge and insights on this vital subject.
The event witnessed the presence of Principals from BEADS and BIES, as well as heads of various departments, faculties, and students, all coming together to support and participate in the National Energy Conservation Week 2023 at Bearys Knowledge Campus.
