The Department of Computer Science and Engineering celebrated Kannada Rajyotsava with great enthusiasm on 6th December 2023, honoring the formation of the state of Karnataka and its rich cultural heritage. The event aimed to instill a sense of pride, unity, and respect for the Kannada language and traditions among students and faculty members.
The celebration began with the lighting of the lamp and the rendition of the state anthem “Jaya Bharata Jananiya Tanujate”. Students showcased their talents through vibrant cultural performances, including traditional dances, songs, skits, and speeches highlighting Karnataka’s glorious history and contributions to art, science, and literature.
Faculty members addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of preserving and promoting the Kannada language in everyday life and professional settings. The department was adorned with colorful decorations featuring the red and yellow hues of the Karnataka flag, adding to the festive atmosphere.
