The Department of Mechanical Engineering inaugurated its student forum Mechanical Engineering Students Association – MESA 2024-25 on September 30, 2024 followed by a Technical Talk by Dr. Gnanashekaran Associate Professor Mechanical Engineering NITK, Surathkal. The program begins with invocation song. This was followed by escorting of the dignitaries to the dais.
Dr. Vasantha Kumar, HOD Mechanical Engineering Department welcomed the gathering. The event projected the activities organized under MESA during the academic year 2023-24. Dr. Imran Mokashi, MESA Coordinator did the swearing in ceremony of the office bearers for the academic year 2024-25. Dr. S I Manjur Basha addressed the gathering and motivated the students to organize and actively participate in co-curricular events.
Dr. Sandeep Nambiar introduced the Chief Guest and resource person Dr. Gnanashekaran, NITK, Surathkal. Prof. Gnanashekaran shared technological insights in “Fluid Flow and Heat Transfer through Porous Structures”. The program was witnessed by Arch. Khaleel Razak Sheikh, Principal BEADS, Prof. Abdul Lateef, Principal BIPUC, Prof. Prithiviraj M, Director BIT-Polytechnic, Dr. Aziz Mustafa, Professor CSE department, Ms. Ashwini, Placement Manager and also Heads of various departments.
The MESA Inauguration was coordinated by Dr. Imran Mokashi, Associate Professor & MESA Coordinator, and Technical Talk was coordinated by Prof. Arvind Kumar and Prof. Manjunath Ichchangi, Assistant Professors Mechanical Engineering Department. The program was concluded with vote of thanks by Prof.Gokuldas M, Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering Department.
