The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Bearys Institute of Technology (BIT), Mangalore, celebrated the inauguration of its Department Association – BEASPIRE, coinciding with the IEEE Day 2025 celebrations.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. Monika Sadananda, Professor, Department of Biotechnology, Mangalore University, who also conducted an inspiring interactive session on “Education for a Rapidly Changing World.” Dr. Monika emphasized the need for adaptability, innovation, and interdisciplinary learning in modern education, urging students to develop both technical competence and social consciousness to thrive in a fast-evolving global environment. Various technical and fun events such as quizzes, games, and speeches were organized to engage students and highlight the importance of teamwork and creativity in engineering learning.
The program began with a warm welcome address by Dr. Abdullah Gubbi, Head of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. The event was coordinated by Prof. Nikitha C, faculty of the ECE Department. The Master of Ceremony was Ms. Akkmala, student of ECE Department The event concluded on an enthusiastic note, celebrating the spirit of innovation, collaboration, and the drive to excel — values that BEASPIRE and IEEE together aim to nurture among the students of BIT.
