The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Bearys Institute of Technology, Mangalore, organized a warm and memorable Farewell Function for the 2021–2025 batch students on 20th May 2025 at 2:00 PM in the International Seminar Hall.
The event was honored by the presence of Dr. P S Shivakumar Gouda, Professor and Head of the Department of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence at Mangalore Institute of Technology and Engineering, Moodbidri, who served as the Chief Guest. In his keynote address, Dr. Gouda emphasized the importance of continuous learning, adaptability, and innovation in the professional journey ahead.
The function was presided over by Dr. S I Manjur Basha, Principal of BIT, and Dr. Vasantha Kumar, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, who both encouraged the graduating students to uphold the values and technical excellence they have cultivated during their time at the institute.
The program also featured heartfelt speeches by Dr. Aziz Mustafa, Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, who inspired the students to embrace challenges with confidence, and Architect Khalil Razzaq Shaikh, who shared valuable life lessons and urged students to remain grounded as they step into the real world. Dr. Imran Mokashi, Associate Professor and MESA Coordinator, coordinated the event.
A highlight of the function was the presentation of mementos to all graduating students as a token of appreciation and remembrance. The atmosphere was filled with emotion and pride as students, faculty, and guests reflected on shared memories and celebrated the achievements of the outgoing batch. The event concluded with a vote of thanks and group photos.
