The Department of Civil Engineering successfully organized a “Food Walk” on December 23, 2025, as part of its Social Connect and Responsibility (SCR) initiative at Bearys Institute of Technology. The event, held within the Civil Engineering Department, served as an innovative and educational exhibition celebrating India’s rich culinary diversity.
Students actively participated by presenting a wide range of dishes from different regions, showcasing their cultural significance, nutritional value, and social relevance. The initiative provided a platform for exploring local food traditions, historical influences, and native ingredients, while also fostering creativity, teamwork, awareness of healthy eating habits, and appreciation for regional cuisines.
The event was graced by the presence of Dr. S.I. Manjur Basha, Director, Bearys Knowledge Campus; Dr. Kamalakannan C, Principal, Bearys Institute of Technology; Dr. Altamashuddin Khan, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering; and Prof. Thejaswini K.
