Mangalore, Sept 8: The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Bearys Institute of Technology (BIT), in association with IEEE Mangalore Subsection, IEEE BIT Student Branch, and BEASPIRE Student Association, organized a technical talk on “Exploring VLSI Design” on 8th September 2025 at Computer Lab 2, ECE.
The resource person for the session was Mr. Mahamad Anif D, Senior Design Verification Engineer, Synaptics India Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru, who shared his expertise and insights into the rapidly evolving field of VLSI design. He highlighted the importance of design verification, current industry trends, and the career opportunities available for engineering graduates in the semiconductor sector.
The program was coordinated by Dr. Abdullah Gubbi, Head of the Department of ECE, who also delivered the welcome address. In his speech, he emphasized the relevance of such sessions in bridging the gap between academics and industry, motivating students to take up innovative projects in the domain of VLSI.
