The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Bearys Institute of Technology (BIT), successfully organized its first Online Alumni Meet on 9th November 2025 at 7:00 PM with great enthusiasm and active participation from alumni across different countries. The event commenced with a prayer, setting a positive and heartfelt tone for the evening.
Dr. Sandeep Nambiar served as the Master of Ceremony and extended a warm welcome to all participants.
Dr. Vasantha Kumar, Head of the Department, briefed the gathering on the objectives of the Alumni Meet and highlighted the department’s activities, achievements, and future vision for the upcoming academic year aimed at enhancing the quality and standards of the program.
Dr. S. I. Manjur Basha, Principal of BIT, congratulated and appreciated the alumni for their active participation and continued association with their alma mater. He also encouraged them to further strengthen the bond between the alumni and the institution.
A special highlight of the event was the release of the department’s first newsletter by Dr. Mohamed Kafeel Delvi, Newsletter Coordinator, who also presented an overview of its contents and purpose.
An engaging alumni interaction session was conducted by Prof. Arvind Kumar, during which alumni from various batches were acknowledged for their participation. Mr. Habeeb, Mr. Harish Chowan (from China), Mr. Mohammed Thashreef, Mr. Mohammed Akram Hussain (from London), and Mr. Mohammed Shahid (from Bangalore) shared their experiences, fond memories, and valuable suggestions for the continuous growth and development of the department and the institution.
Dr. Imran Mokashi, Head of IQAC, also interacted with the alumni and gathered constructive feedback to further strengthen departmental initiatives.
The event was efficiently coordinated by Prof. Prithviraj M and concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing heartfelt gratitude to all participants for making the event a memorable and successful occasion.
