The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Bearys Institute of Technology, organized an Alumni Interaction Session for the students of the 5th Semester Mechanical Engineering on 10/09/2026.
During his visit to Bearys Institute of Technology, Mr. Moideen Arshad K, a distinguished alumnus and member of the 2018–2022 B.E. Mechanical Engineering batch, interacted with the students and shared his professional experience. He is currently working with PALFINGER India Private Limited as Area Manager & Service Engineer – Karnataka Region.
Mr. Moideen Arshad K shared his journey from engineering education to securing a job and progressing in his professional career. He spoke about the importance of having strong fundamentals in basic mechanical engineering subjects, developing practical skills and continuously improving technical and communication abilities.
He briefly introduced the students to PALFINGER India Private Limited, which provides lifting and material-handling solutions, and shared information about internship and career opportunities in the company. He encouraged students who aspire to work in similar industries to familiarize themselves with hydraulics and pneumatics, in addition to strengthening their knowledge of core mechanical engineering subjects. He also highlighted that knowledge of Tally and basic computer skills can be an added advantage in the workplace.
The alumnus interacted with the students and responded to their queries regarding job preparation, career opportunities and industry expectations. He encouraged them to make effective use of their academic years by gaining practical exposure through projects, internships, industrial visits and hands-on learning.
The interaction provided students with practical insights into the transition from engineering education to professional employment and helped them understand the technical and professional skills required to build a successful career in the mechanical engineering industry. Mr. Moideen Arshad’s professional journey and interaction with the students served as a source of motivation and encouraged them to prepare themselves for future internship and employment opportunities.
