The Department of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science and the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, in association with Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), Bearys Institute of Technology (BIT), organized the Smart India Hackathon 2026 from 31 August to 1 September 2026, from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM.
The event was inaugurated in the presence of Chief Guest Dr. Sadaf Peerbhoy. Dr. C. Kamalkanna, Principal, BIT, addressed the students and highlighted the importance of hackathons in fostering innovation, creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Around 15 teams from various departments participated enthusiastically in the hackathon, showcasing their innovative ideas and technical skills.
The event was coordinated by Mr. Mohammed Sinan, HOD – CSE, and Ms. Meghana R. Nayak, IIC Convener – BIT.
