Bearys Institute of Technology (BIT), Mangaluru, in association with Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited (KREDL), celebrated National Energy Conservation Week 2025 with a series of awareness and student-centric activities. As part of this initiative, the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, in association with BIT-ADVA, organized the ECO Innovation Challenge – Best Out of Waste on 22 December 2025.The event received enthusiastic participation from students, with a total of 16 teams presenting innovative and eco-friendly ideas focused on sustainability and effective waste management. The competition aimed to encourage creativity, environmental awareness, and responsible innovation among students. The entries were evaluated by Prof. Joyson, Ms. Mariyath Shabnam, and Mrs. Aysha, who appreciated the originality and practical relevance of the projects presented. The event was successfully coordinated by Mrs. Ayshath Safwana, Faculty, Department of AI&DS, BIT. The programme effectively promoted the values of energy conservation, sustainability, and environmental responsibility, aligning with the objectives of National Energy Conservation Week 2025 and providing students with a meaningful platform for experiential learning.
