The Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized a Teachers–Parents Meet on 1st August 2023 with the objective of strengthening the collaboration between the institute and parents to enhance student performance and overall development.
The meeting commenced with a welcome address by the Head of the Department, who highlighted the importance of parent–teacher interaction in monitoring academic progress and addressing student-related concerns. Faculty members presented a detailed overview of the academic performance, attendance status, internal assessment results, and participation of students in departmental activities.
Parents were given the opportunity to interact individually with course coordinators and subject faculty to discuss their ward’s progress, strengths, and areas that need improvement. The teachers also informed parents about the support systems available in the department, including mentoring sessions, remedial classes, and technical skill-development programs.
Parents shared valuable feedback regarding teaching–learning practices, communication channels, and student engagement. They appreciated the efforts of the department in maintaining academic rigor and providing a conducive learning environment.
The meeting concluded with an assurance from both teachers and parents to work together to ensure the holistic growth and academic success of the students.
Overall, the Teachers–Parents Meet held on 01.08.2023 was fruitful and interactive, fostering better understanding and cooperation between the department and parents.
