A team comprising Dr. Abdullah Gubbi, Prof. Mohammed Sinan, and Dr. Altamashuddin Khan visited the Advanced Microwave and Antenna Laboratory at the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, Manipal Institute of Technology.
The visit provided valuable insights into the institute’s state-of-the-art RF, Microwave, and Antenna Testing Facilities. The team had the opportunity to explore the fully shielded Anechoic Chamber, high-precision Vector Network Analyzer, and various advanced setups used for antenna design, MMIC characterization, and microwave device testing.
During the interaction, the lab in-charge, Dr. Tanweer, explained the laboratory’s capabilities, ongoing research activities, and the wide range of RF and antenna design projects undertaken at MIT. The discussion also highlighted potential areas of academic and research collaboration.
The visit was highly informative and enriched our understanding of modern RF and antenna measurement techniques, specialized testing environments, and advanced design methodologies.
