The Department of Civil Engineering, Bearys Institute of Technology, Mangalore, organized a three-day Industrial Visit for the 2022 and 2023 batch students from 27th to 29th October 2025.The visit aimed to enhance students’ practical knowledge and provide exposure to real-world engineering applications.
Key destinations included Bearys Global Research Triangle (BGRT) — an IGBC Platinum-rated sustainable building, the Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum (VITM), Wonderla Amusement Park, National Institute of Engineering (NIE), Mysore, KRS Dam, and several architectural and heritage sites like Mysore palace, Tippu Sultan’s Fort, Payana Museum in Mysore. Through these visits, students gained valuable insights into green building concepts, energy-efficient design, hydraulic structures, and historical architecture, connecting their classroom learning with field applications.
The visit proved to be a highly enriching experience that blended education, innovation, and exploration. Students interacted with industry experts and researchers, observed advanced laboratory setups, and understood the importance of sustainability in modern civil engineering.
