The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science successfully organized the inauguration ceremony of its Students’ Association BIT-ADVA on 3rd November 2025. The event was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, Mr. Harish Neermarga, Managing Director, Accolade Tech Solutions Pvt. Ltd.
The program commenced with a soulful prayer by Ms. Maliha and team, setting a serene and inspiring tone for the day. Dr. S. I. Manjur Basha, Principal, delivered the inaugural address, emphasizing the growing prominence of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science in today’s world and highlighting the increasing demand for skilled professionals in the industry.
Dr. Mehaboob Mujawar, Head of the Department, addressed the gathering and outlined the vision and initiatives of BIT-ADVA. He encouraged students to actively participate in association activities with discipline, teamwork, and consistency to excel academically and professionally.
During the ceremony, the department also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Accolade Tech Solutions Pvt. Ltd., marking a significant milestone in strengthening industry-academia collaboration. This partnership aims to provide students with valuable exposure to industry-driven projects, internships, and professional training opportunities.
In his keynote address, the Chief Guest, Mr. Harish Neermarga spoke about the rapidly evolving technology era and the flourishing AI ecosystem. He shared insights on the current internship landscape and guided students on effective ways to approach and secure industry opportunities, motivating them to stay proactive and skill-focused.
The event was gracefully anchored by Ms. Mariyath Shabnam. Ms. Huzaina offered a warm floral welcome to the dignitaries. Ms. Rizana, BIT-ADVA Coordinator, administered the oath to the newly inducted association members. Prof. Masooda presented the annual report for the academic year 2024-25, highlighting achievements and key initiatives. Ms. Safwana announced the names of student achievers who brought laurels to the department. The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Ms. Mariyath Shabnam.
