Home Away From Home: Life at Bearys Hostel
Bearys Institute of Technology, Mangalore offers hostel facilities for students with the primary objective of creating a “home away from home.” The air-cooled hostels provide an environment that emphasizes academic focus while also nurturing the holistic development of students by encouraging participation in sports, cultural activities, and interpersonal growth. Separate accommodation for men and women is available, subject to availability. The hostel policy, rules, and code of conduct are designed to ensure a secure, comfortable, and learning-conducive environment. All hostellers are required to strictly adhere to these guidelines.
Hostel facilities include boarding and are primarily intended for students who reside outside nearby localities. Students seeking admission to the college hostels must apply at the time of their college admission. Admission is granted to students who are serious about their studies, can maintain proper discipline and decorum. Upon admission, each student will be allotted a room or space, typically shared with two or three students. The college reserves the right to modify room allotments at any time for administrative or other reasons deemed appropriate. The prescribed hostel fee, charged annually, must be paid as per the college regulations.
The hostel mess provides both Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian food options. Hostellers are required to have their meals in the designated section Vegetarian or Non-Vegetarian as chosen by them at the time of joining the hostel at the beginning of the academic year. A common menu will be followed for all residents.
All residents must take their meals in the dining hall of the mess. The meals provided include morning tea, breakfast, lunch, evening tea, and dinner. Meals will be served strictly as per the prescribed timings, which will be displayed on the hostel notice board.
