On Sunday, 27th November 2022, Bearys Institute of Technology, under its NSS unit, organized a beach cleaning drive at Ullal titled ‘Clean Beach and Green Beach’. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about respecting nature and maintaining hygiene. Students displayed banners and slogans promoting environmental cleanliness. Garbage and plastic pollution’s harm to marine life was highlighted. Hand gloves, sanitizers, and cleaning bags were distributed to all participants. The program was inaugurated by Dr. S.I. Manjur Basha, Principal of BIT. Faculty, staff, and students from BIT and its sister institutions actively took part. Volunteers interacted with the public to promote the message of a litter-free beach.
