To commemorate the founding day of the Election Commission of India, Bearys Institute of Technology Mangalore, in association with BIT Electoral Literacy Club and BIT NSS unit celebrated National Voters Day on 25 January 2024 “Nothing Like Voting, I Vote for Sure” of the National Voters Day 2024 Theme. The election commission’s main objective is to encourage more people to vote in elections, regardless of their age, gender, ethnicity, or other characteristics.
Dr. S.I.Manjur Basha, Principal of B.I.T. Mangalore gave a motivational speech to all students to cast their valuable vote to build a prosperous and developed nation. He advised all participants not to select any corrupt representative in their constituency. The vote is more precious than wealth, so don’t sell your valuable vote to a small amount. The vote is one of the effective non-violent tools in a democratic society.
Prof. Zaheer Ahmed Coordinator of the BIT Electoral Literacy Club has taken the pledge from all attendees, to cast their valuable votes. The programme ended with a vote of thanks by Dr Mohamed Kafeel Delvi NSS Program officer.
