Bearys Institute of Technology, Mangalore, organized a ten day free CET coaching program for PUC science students. The participants to this workshop came from not only the Mangalore region but also from several other parts of Karnataka and Kerala. Free hostel accommodation was arranged for outstation students. The ten-day long coaching program saw close to 150 participants who were coached by experts with over 15 years of experience. The coaching program concluded on April 18th with a Mock CET exam, career guidance and ARIVU loan awareness program at BIT’s premises in Innoli, Mangalore. Career guidance session was conducted by Mr. Ananth Prabhu. Later in the afternoon, a valedictory function was held in which the Campus Director, Dr.M. Sainath, distributed scholarships to students who qualified for the same in the Mock CET exam. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sainath expressed his concern to the young students. He advised the students that to achieve success one must be ready to sacrifice because success and sacrifice are two sides of the same coin. Mr. Somappa, District Administrator, Karnataka Minority Development corporation & HODs of other departments were also present in the ceremony. Prof Sheikh Moidin welcomed the gathering. Program coordinator Prof. Musthafa rendered vote of thanks and Dr. Shivaprakash compered the event. Students who attended the camp unanimously praised the opportunity given to them. They requested that the camp be organized every year and for a longer duration so that students get maximum benefit from this laudable initiative from BIT. The Bearys group awarded scholarships of 100% in tuition fee for the first 3 and 50% concession for next 5rankers in the mock CET exam. All students who attended the exam were offered a scholarship of 10% concession in tuition fees.
