Workshop on Artificial Neural Network and Its applications

The National workshop on “Artificial Neural Network and Its applications” was the first national workshop organized by Department of Mechanical Engineering of Bearys Institute of Technology, Mangalore. This National workshop brought together over 30 faculties from outside Colleges, 16 faculties from BIT and 75 students from BIT College to improve the knowledge on artificial Neural Network. Invited Resource persons focused on technical issues confronting neural network and its applications. The programming methods and application of neural network tool box in MATLAB platform were discussed along with various neural network implementation methods. This workshop helped participants to explore ways to harness more of neural network applications efficiently. Feedback from the workshop was very positive – participants greatly enjoyed the chance to meet like-minded people from different colleges, the opportunity to network and to learn from one another, and the chance to explore ideas.
