Association of Civil Engineering, BIT-Mangalore in Association with PRAYOJANA Construction Management Institute organized Technical Talk on 29.09.2018.
In the first session was handled by Er. V Sriraman, Founder and CEO, Prayojana Construction Management Training Institute, Bangalore, delivered a talk on “Introduction to Construction Management and Job Opportunities in the Industry”. He described and explained the present scenario of industrial requirement, Gap between Academic and Industry, and explained the actual reasons behind this. Then he described the difference between Indian and abroad construction procedure. Also, he explained Job opportunities in Costing, Procurement, Quality, Execution, and Safety Engineer and explained all these in brief to the students.
In the second session was handled by Er. S G Ashok Kumar, Executive Director, Prayojana Construction Management Training Institute, Bangalore, He shared his experience from previous site visits with students of different colleges and shows some videos like structures which are built by monolithic methods, Hot Mix plant operations of L&T Company. He mentioned the importance of practical knowledge during studying. He said it is very difficult to design a proper structure without practical knowledge at the site.
They encouraged students to gain more exposure in the field visit, internship and also they assured the students to provide help in their project works an internship. They were welcomed by Association of Civil Engineering, BIT in the presence of Dr. Anthony A. J. Principal, Dr.Mahabaleshwarappa P, Dean Academics, Prof. Purushotham C T, HOD/ Civil, Faculty and Civil Engineering Students of Bearys Institute of Technology.
