Bearys Institute of Technology, Mangalore, organized three week long free CET coaching program for PUC science students. The participants to this workshop came from not only the Mangalore region but also from several other parts of Karnataka and Kerala. BIT arranged free hostel accommodation for outstation students and free transport facility for local students.
The three week long coaching program saw close to 200 participants who were coached by experts with over 15 years of experience. The coaching program concluded on April 30th with a BIT Talent Hunt exam and a mind blowing career guidance session conducted by Dr. Ananth Prabhu at BIT’s premises in Innoli, Mangalore.
A valedictory function was held in the afternoon which started with the welcome speech by Prof. Mustafa Bastikodi, HOD, Dept of CSE & event organizer. The Chief Guest for the valedictory function was Dr. Khaisar Muneebulla Khan Professor, Dept. of Library and Information Science Mangalore University who inspired the students with his magical words.Mr. Syed Mohammed Beary, the Chairman of Bearys Group distributed scholarships to students who qualified for the same in the Talent Hunt exam.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Beary advised the students that to achieve success one must be ready to sacrifice because success and sacrifice are two sides of the same coin. Dr. Palakshappa, Principal, Chief Advisor Dr. S K Raikar, HOD’s of respective department were also present in the ceremony.
Students who attended the camp deeply thanked the management for the opportunity given to them. They requested that the camp be organized every year and for a longer duration so that students get maximum benefit from this laudable initiative from BIT.
The Bearys group awarded scholarships upto 100% in tuition fee for the top 18 students in BIT Talent Hunt exam 2016. The Management also offered 100% scolarship in tuition fees for those candidates who gets below 5000 rank in the CET exam and the students who gets rank between 5000 to 10000 will be offered either free hostel facilities or free transport at BIT.
