Mangaluru: Bearys Institute of Technology in association with Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Ltd. (KREDL) organized a one-day seminar on Energy Conservation Day on 14th December 2020.
The event began at 9:30 AM in the International Seminar Hall. The resource for the event Dr. Mahendra M Dhongadi; HOD of Mechanical Engineering.
He said the day focuses on making people aware of global warming and climate change and promotes efforts towards saving energy resources. Energy Conservation Day: With the growth in the population, the requirement for energy is also increasing continuously.
The program was witnessed by all the department Heads and faculties. The welcome address was by Dr. Manjur Basha, Principal, BIT. In his speech, he said one of the primary ways to improve energy conservation in buildings is to perform an energy audit.
An energy audit is an inspection and analysis of energy use and flows for energy conservation in a building, process, or system with an eye toward reducing energy input without negatively affecting output.
In the view of this celebration various competition like Speech competition in both English and Kannada were conducted, Collage Competition with the same theme. The winners were rewarded with prizes. The program concluded with National Anthem.
