Effective Research Writing Techniques

One-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) “Effective Research Writing Techniques” was organized at the Bearys Institute of Technology (BIT) on 14th July 2022. Dr. Abdul Mujeebu, Associate Professor, College of Architecture and Planning, Imam Abdul Rahman Bin Faisal University, Dammam, Saudi Arabia was the resource person at the event. Dr. Abdul Mujeebu is listed among the top two percent most-cited researchers in the list published by Elsevier & Stanford University. He is also known having a wide research collaboration network. Dr. S.I Manjur Basha, Principal, BIT-Mangalore welcomed the gathering. The session began with a quote “A good teacher is a good researcher, the good researcher is a good writer” to encourage research work. He added that High impact journals are not beyond the reach, we must have little affinity towards research and persistent effort is necessary. The session provided a good learning experience with questions and answers round. The participants were faculties of Engineering, Architecture, and Diploma. Prof. Athera Prasad of the Civil Department compered the event while the event concluded with the Vote of Thanks by Dr. Abdullah Gubbi, HOD-ECE.
