Onam was celebrated in the traditional style by students of BIT on September 13th. Festive decorations displayed the rich culture and tradition of Kerala. The highlight of the decorations was the multi coloured ‘Pookalam’ floral decoration, considered the symbol of secularism. Students were seen clad in traditional dresses like Kasavu and the off-white sarees with golden border. Paal Paayasam, the conventional sweet prepared during Onam, was distributed to all those present.
