Industrial visits provide the students with an opportunity to learn practically through interaction, working methods and employment practices. It gives the students an exposure to current work practices as opposed to theoretical knowledge being taught in their college classrooms.
To get practical knowledge and to give an insight into the way things work in a real-life scenario, students of 4th-year Civil engineering, at Beary’s Institute of Technology, Mangalore visited Mysore and Wayanad from 29th March 2022 to 31st March 2022 as a part of an Industrial visit, assisted by 3 faculty members – Prof. Altamashuddin Khan, Prof. Shareefa R Nadaf and Prof. Safwan. A group of 32 members of Beary’s Institute of Technology, Mangalore (3 Faculty members & 29 Students) visited KRS Dam, Mysore on 29th March 2022, BRL brick industry and Mysore Palace on 30th March 2022 and Banasura Sagar Dam Wayanad and Markaz knowledge city on 31st March 2022.
