MESA 2K24 (Mechanical Engineering Students Association) is a student forum of Mechanical Engineering department of BIT. The Mechanical Engineering Department under the mentorship of Dr.Vasantha Kumar (HOD, Mechanical Engg.) and Dr. Imran Mokashi (Faculty coordinator), Mr. M K Syed Tanveer Ahamed (Student coordinator) organized the annual inaugural of the association, MESA 2K24 for the academic year 2023-24.
The program is conducted at International Seminar Hall, BIT on 5th January 2024. The master of ceremony Mr.Mohammed Shahe Jahan of the final year started the event requesting the hospitality committee to escort of the dignitaries to the dais. Invocation song is sung by Mrs.Shabana and team who developed the aura to the program.
Dr.Vasantha Kumar, Head of Mechanical Engineering welcome the gathering, all dignitaries and the Chief Guest of the function. MESA Inauguration by watering of plant and unveiling of MESA logo 2024 done by all the dignitaries.
Dr.S I Manjur Basha, Principal of BIT highlighted the importance of association in his address. Also, suggested to conduct more events in the department under the banner of MESA.
Dr.Kumar G N, Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, NITK, Surathkal was the Chief Guest for the program. Dr.Mohamed Kafeel Delvi introduced Chief Guest and Dr.Kumar shared valuable insights during his address. He discussed the skills required for Mechanical Engineers to be industry ready. Also Dr.Kumar briefed the importance of academics in his keynote address.
Dr.Aziz Mustafa, Principal of BIES encouraged the young students to involve in creative work and motivated to become skilled engineers in his speech.

The program was concluded by vote of thanks by Prof.Gokuldas M, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering and followed by national anthem.
