Industrial Visit of 3rd Semester ECE Students to IPCS Global and COMEDKARES

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) organized an industrial visit for the 3rd-semester students to IPCS Global and COMEDKARES on August 28, 2024.

This visit aimed to familiarize students with current trends in the industry and the importance of training and internships in their future careers. Dr. Abdullah Gubbi, Head of the ECE Department, addressed the students before the visit, emphasizing the significance of industrial exposure.

He provided valuable guidance on the do’s and don’ts during the visit, stressing the importance of professionalism, safety, and attentiveness both while traveling and within the workplace. The students were accompanied by Prof. Abdul Jabbar and Prof. Fathimath Fameeza, faculty members of the ECE department. Their presence provided students with academic support and ensured a meaningful learning experience throughout the visit.

At IPCS Global, students were introduced to the workings of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and SCADA systems, which are essential components in automation and industrial control. The visit provided them with practical insights into these technologies, which play a crucial role in modern industry.

At COMEDKARES, students learned about the internship opportunities available, gaining an understanding of how these internships can bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world application.
