The Department of Mechanical Engineering successfully conducted Sports day “MECHSPO-2K24” on 7th March 2024 for the students and staff of Mechanical Engineering Department at Bearys Arena. All the students and staff of Mechanical Engineering were actively participated in the sports day and had a great success.
All the students and staff of the department were grouped into four different teams named Welders, Millers, Drillers and Turners. Four indoor events like Chess, Carom, Shuttle Badminton, Ludo and Three Outdoor games namely, Cricket, Football and Volleyball were conducted for the teams. Dr.Aziz Mustafa, Principal of Bearys Institute of Emerging Science and Head of Mechanical Engineering Department Dr.Vasantha Kumar inaugurated the“MECHSPO-2K24” and addressed the gathering. Mr. Prithviraj M, Director, BIT Polytechnic and Dr.Anjum Khan, HOD of Basic Science witnessed the sports day. Prof. Gokuldas M, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering was the coordinator of the event
The Valedictory ceremony was held at evening and winners are praised with medals and trophies. The overall champion is bagged by Team Drillers. Mr. Faiz of 2nd year Mechanical the hosted the program.
