The Department of Mechanical Engineering organized a two day workshop on “Python Programming for Mechanical Engineers (Basics and advanced)” for students of Mechanical Engineering.
The resource person of this event was Dr. Asif Afzal, Research Professor,Seoul National University of Science and Technology, South Korea.
The program was presided by Dr. S.I Manjur Basha, Principal, Bearys Institute of Technology, Mangalore and Dr. Vasantha Kumar, Head of Mechanical Engineering Department, BIT Mangalore. Dr. Aziz Musthafa Principal, BIES Mangalore, Ar. Ruksana Algur, Principal, BEADS Mangalore and Mr. Prithviraj M, Director, BIT Polytechnic witnessed the program.
The program was conducted at, “International Seminar Hall”, BIT on 6th and 7th December 2022. The event started with Prof.Gokuldas M, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering. Master of Ceremony initiation by addressing the gathering about the event and escorting of the dignitaries to the dais. Invocation by Kaveri and team of 7th sem Electronics and Communication Engineering Department developed the aura for the program.
The program was welcomed by Dr. Vasantha Kumar, HOD, Department of Mechanical Engineering, BIT Mangalore. Principal Dr. S.I Manjur Basha gave the inaugural speech, in which he briefed about the new concepts of Python requirements to Mechanical Engineers and advised students to take benefit with two day workshop knowledge. Also he congratulated the Mechanical Engineering department for organising such a good event.
Dr.Imran Mokashi, Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering gave introduction of the Key note speaker.
Dr. Asif Afzal, Research Professor, Seoul National University of Science and Technology, South Korea in his key note address explained the fundamentals of python programming for Mechanical Engineers and its application to different areas. He has conducted practical session for participants.
In this session he has briefed the introduction and basics of the python programming. He also explained different applications of the python programming in Mechanical Engineering field.
The Vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. Mohammed Kafeel Delvi, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering. The program was concluded with valedictory function and with the national anthem.
