Contributing to the welfare of downtrodden and underprivileged has been an integral part of Bearys Group. To support poor and needy students, BIT Conducted Talent test in association with The Hindu newspaper. Top 10 students are awarded with 100% scholarship in tuition and hostel fees. The test was conducted in the morning and students from various part of karnataka attended the test. Chairman also offered another 25 students, a waiver of 50% in tuition fees.
On the same day a career guidance program was arranged in the afternoon.Prof Lasrado from NITK suratkal guided the students in various choices they have after completing 12th standard. Chairman Sir Syed Mohammed Beary spoke about the vision of BIT and his dream of making higher education possible to every student irrespective of his financial background. Mr.Sheikh Moidin K.M gave a brief view of offerings of BIT at engineering disciplines. Dr S.K Raikar presided the function. Prof. Palakshappa(HOD Civil), Mr. Nurul Hassan(HOD, EC), Mr. Mustafa (HOD CSE),Mr. Murali, Mr.Shivaprakash were present and helped in smooth condution of program.
