A talk on “Patents” was organized for final year students’ on 15th September 2017. Dr. Abdul Kareem, Principal delivered Introductory remarks on Patents. He stressed the importance of protecting intellectual property through patents. He gave brief introduction to his three patents published in the gazette of Indian patent office “Auto mechanized Urinals”, “Anti-collision System”, “System and Apparatus for climbing up a tree to perform various tasks”. He advised the students to come up with novel and innovative projects and convert them to products and processes with one or more claims so that they can be patented. Mr. Ramakrishna and Mrs. Gauthami from Allinov R&D Pvt Ltd delivered detailed presentation on procedures of patenting and related issues.
