The Computer Engineering Association of BIT(CEA-BIT) in association with Bearys Global Infotech Limited(BGITL) organized a workshop on recent trends in Information technology from 23-4-2012 to 27-4-2012 at knowledge campus of Bearys Institute of Technology .The main motive behind the series of seminar was to make students aware of IT offerings of tomorrow.
The workshop was inaugurated by Mr. Praveen Kumar Kalbavi, Director Bearys Global Infotech Ltd , Mangalore. He spoke about students preparations for entering into the IT world. He continued saying IT field is the one where a person’s logical and analytical skills of problem solving are effectively used for the execution of projects. So it is very much essential for the students to keep themselves updated and develop problem solving techniques by referring to some materials which guides us to solve typical problems. He stressed on the importance of commitment and hardwork in achieving the success.Principal Dr. S.K Raikar presided the function.
In the lecTure series, Mr Shihab (Director, BGITL) spoke about the day of a software engineer , Mr Jarood(Director,BGITL) spoke about Future of IT & recent trends. Mr Mohammed hanif explained the Microsoft offerings to the IT world. Mr. Sheikh Moidin K.M (HOD, ISE BIT Mangalore) delivered a talk on Web technologies and possible programming languages to the web. Mr.Mustafa(HOD , CSE) spoke about Open source technologies. Mr. Nasir Mohideen was the guest for valedictory function on 27th april 2012.
All the CSE/ISE Students of BIT, took an active participation in this workshop.
