The Innovators club of Bearys Institute of technology had a glorious beginning on Friday 20th of April under the mentorship of Prof. Mustafa B, HOD, Dept. Of CSE.
The very first event under this club was a workshop on “Creativity and Innovation”. The main aim of the workshop was to ignite the engineering minds and to bring about a spark to innovate, develop a creative mindset, learn and apply a wide range of creativity techniques, apply creativity and innovation, and understand how innovation is the key to success.
It was inaugurated by Mr. Vipin Kumar from Infosys and Dr. S.K.Raikar Principal, BIT.
The Workshop was divided into four sessions. The first session was by Mr. Vipin Kumar who was instrumental in introducing the managerial perspective of innovation and creativity. The second session was by Prof . Nurul Hassan (HOD, ECE), who shared his knowledge on the financial support and funding which the students would require to bring into life their ideas. The next session was by Prof. Mustafa B, talking about the engineering perspective of creativity and urging students to be brave and stand with their ideas. The last session was on paper writing and presentation skills by Prof. Palakshappa K. The Learning from the sessions include: Unlock creativity, Overcome common barriers to creativity, Apply key creativity techniques, Foster a creative atmosphere.
